TÜBİTAK BİLGEM is actively involved in technological studies developed by Europe within the scope of MEEP infrastructure project support. Developed in cooperation with TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and Zagreb University, the MareNostrum Experimental Exascale Platform (MEEP) is a digital laboratory for the joint design of hardware and software and will play an important role in the development of future European exascale systems.
MEEP Project (MareNostrum Experimental Exascale Platform) is a project financed by Europe with 10.3 million Euros and started its activities as of January 1, 2020. TÜBİTAK BİLGEM is working as one of the three main coordinators in this project. The project, coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), brought together a consortium consisting of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the University of Zagreb and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM together with the BSC.
The MEEP Project is also planned to host a large-scale FPGA system created in Barcelona. The program also contributes actively to the integration of large-scale supercomputing designs as well as contributing to the development of European technologies.
The project receives financial support from the European High Performance Informatics Joint Venture (JU) under grant agreement 946002 and is supported by Spain, Croatia and Turkey within the framework of the “European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme”.
As the TÜBİTAK BİLGEM family, we are proud to take part in this important project.
