Turkey's Biggest Science Festival BİLİMFEST
BİLİMFEST, the first of which was held in Konya in 2013, together with its stakeholders, including TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, acts as a bridge in the formation and spread of interest in science in the society by blending science with workshops from every branch and presenting it in the most entertaining way with various science demonstrations.
BİLİMFEST, where innovations and hundreds of events that inspire participants of all ages, are held all over Turkey. At the festival, where local and national technologies meet the visitors, the participants experience pleasant moments with many activities such as drone shows, video mapping applications, light shows, thematic workshop areas, thematic exhibition areas, entertaining stage shows, digital art performances.
BİLİMFEST Aksaray 2023
Aksaray Science Festival, organized for the second time this year in partnership with Aksaray Science Center and TÜBİTAK, lasted for 3 days. More than 100 national and international technology and science companies participated in the Science Festival, which took place in a large area at Aksaray Science Center on September 15-19. Citizens and participants showed great interest in the stands where hundreds of works in the field of technology and science were shared. TÜBİTAK also welcomed visitors with 15 stands and 52 tents at this special event.
Thousands of people from 7 to 70 participated in the Science Festival. With 200 activity tents, the festival continued with a helicopter show by Çelik Kanatlar followed by a performance by the mehter team.
In this unique festival, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM once again presented the "Metaverse: Adventure Island" simulation, opening the doors of the virtual world to the participants. Visitors of all ages, young and old, who explored the virtual world with VR glasses in the Metaverse event area, experienced this technology individually and had unforgettable moments.
Antalya Sky Observation Event 2023
TÜBİTAK BİLGEM ATTRACTED GREAT ATTENTION AT ANTALYA SKY OBSERVATION EVENT
TÜBİTAK BİLGEM participated in the 25th Sky Observation Event held in Saklıkent, Antalya on August 10-13. Approximately 1,000 observers took part in the event, where participants had the opportunity to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower both with the naked eye and with telescopes. They witnessed unforgettable moments with the night observations they made together with TÜBİTAK officials.
One of the most interesting aspects of the event was TÜBİTAK BİLGEM's Metaverse Adventure Island experience. In addition to watching the sky to the fullest, the participants had the opportunity to experience different dimensions of the virtual world with the Metaverse experience.
Metaverse Adventure Island was recorded as an important activity for the participants in terms of demonstrating the potential of competence in combining science and education skills with virtual reality.
BİLİMFEST Antalya 2022
ANTALYA SCIENCE CENTER OPENED ITS DOORS WITH BİLİMFEST
Antalya Science Center, Turkey's largest science center established by Kepez Municipality in cooperation with TÜBİTAK, opened its doors with BİLİMFEST. The opening ceremony of Antalya Science Center, which was established by Kepez Municipality on an area of 12,500 square meters in the former Weaving Factory, was held on March 31, 2022 with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank.
EVERYONE, YOUNG AND OLD, WAS THERE FOR THREE DAYS
Antalya Science Center opened its doors to science and technology enthusiasts of all ages on March 31st with BİLİMFEST. The festival took place with the participation of TÜBİTAK, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, TÜBİTAK UZAY, TÜBİTAK MAM, TÜBİTAK SAGE, Defense Industry Academy, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, Turkish Aerospace Industry and Turkish Space Agency. This great festival, where science and technology giants came together with visitors, was the center of attention of Antalians.
BİLİMFEST Konya 2022
TÜBİTAK BILGEM MET WITH SCIENCE ENTHUSIASTS FROM KONYA AT THE KONYA SCIENCE FESTIVAL
Participated in the 9th Konya Science Festival, Turkey's largest science festival, held at the Konya Science Center Complex.
The festival, which started with the opening speech of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, gave the participants a very special experience for three days.
Participants who visited our stand received information about the projects carried out by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM and enjoyed the festival with Ozan Mine Detector and Metal Search in the Sandbox, BİLGEM Universe and Decrypt with Kindy.
Diyarbakır Sky Observation Event
WE REACHED OUT TO THE STARS: DİYARBAKIR ZERZEVAN SKY OBSERVATION EVENT
Diyarbakır Zerzevan Sky Observation Event, where history and science meet, was held in Diyarbakır Zerzevan Castle on June 9-12 under the coordination of TÜBİTAK. The four-day sky festival brought together thousands of sky lovers, young and old alike.
Throughout the event, scientists made interesting presentations to the participants on various topics such as Other Planets, Satellite Technologies, Stars in Mirrors, Light Pollution, Let's Get to Know the Sky, Well-Known Mistakes in Basic Astronomy, What's in the Sky, Near-Earth Asteroids, Star Obscurations, Space Weather, Pulsars and Black Holes, Polar Research.
Seminars, competitions and many activities related to astronomy were organized throughout the program, which aimed to increase the interest of young people in space with the understanding of the National Space Program. Participants also had the opportunity to make observations with a telescope, engage in astronomy talks and participate in workshops.
Vam Sky Observation Event
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE MET UNDER THE STARS IN VAN LAKE AT THE VAN SKY OBSERVATION EVENT!
The "Sky Observation Event", which was held for the first time in Van, brought together thousands of sky enthusiasts from all over Turkey. Organized by the Ministries of Science, Industry and Technology, Youth and Sports, Culture and Tourism under the coordination of TÜBİTAK, the event took place in the Nursery Park on the edge of Edremit Van Lake. The event, which aims to increase the interest of young people in space with the participation of astronomy enthusiasts from all over Turkey, lasted 3 days and 3 nights on 3-5 July 2022.
650 people participating in the event stayed in tents set up around the lake and had the chance to observe with more than 30 telescopes during the night, accompanied by experts. On the second and third days of the event, which was determined as the "People's Day", approximately 10 thousand people had the opportunity to observe the sky in Fidanlık Park.

Erzurum Sky Observation Event
TÜBİTAK BİLGEM WAS AT THE ERZURUM SKY OBSERVATION EVENT
TÜBİTAK BİLGEM participated in the Erzurum Sky Observation Event, which took place on the outskirts of the Eastern Anatolia Observatory (DAG), where Europe's largest telescope is located.
The event was organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Industry and Technology, Youth and Sports, and Culture and Tourism, under the coordination of TÜBİTAK with the contributions of Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, Atatürk University and North East Anatolian Development Agency (KUDAKA).
In the festival area of TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, participants had a pleasant time with the "Digital Encryption Game" and "BİLGEM Universe" activities.
BİLİMFEST 2023
Antalya Science Festival (BİLİMFEST), which will be held for the second time this year, opens its doors to science enthusiasts between 30 March – 2 April!
The 2nd Antalya Science Festival, where science and technology meet, counts the days for its opening. BİLİMFEST, which was organized by Kepez Municipality with the opening of the Science Center, which was brought to Antalya in cooperation with TÜBİTAK, opens its doors to visitors between March 30 and April 2 this year.
Antalya Science Festival will be attended by local and national technology producing institutions, especially TÜBİTAK, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, TÜMOSAN, TUSAŞ, TURKSAT, TUA, MKE, ANZATSAN, SARSILMAZ, BMC, UNIVERSITIES, TECHNOKENTS.
BİLİMFEST, which will also be attended by the Ministry of Interior, will host the technology giants of Turkey in Antalya Dokumapark for 4 days. Interviews, exhibitions, visual shows and many workshops in different fields will be held at the Antalya Science Festival.
BİLİMFEST, organized with the aim of popularizing science, announcing and explaining the good works of our country in the field of science and technology, hosted 425 thousand visitors last year.
