The first demonstration of the 5G-MOBIX Project, supported by Horizon 2020, a European Union technological support program, was successfully held in the Turkey-Greece border crossing corridor in cooperation with T\u00dcB\u0130TAK B\u0130LGEM. 5G-MOBIX Projesi<\/strong>,<\/a> which aims to develop automated vehicle functions by taking advantage of basic innovations such as low latency, high bandwidth, communication technologies and advanced artificial intelligence techniques provided by 5G technology, was presented at the \u0130psala Border Gate in partnership with T\u00dcB\u0130TAK B\u0130LGEM.<\/p>

Together with T\u00dcB\u0130TAK B\u0130LGEM, the 5G-MOBIX Project, which includes organizations such as Turkcell, Ford Otosan and Ericsson TR as domestic partners from Turkey, was carried out with 59 partners from 10 countries. With this demonstration, one of the critical stages of this project, which will be presented to the public in test areas created in different locations across Europe, has been successfully completed.<\/p>

Autonomous vehicles, which are expressed as one of the technologies of the future, are being developed to act with the high-capability sensor and hardware technologies they contain. Within the scope of the 5G-MOBIX Project, the focus is on the development of autonomous driving without the use of high-cost in-vehicle sensors through roadside sensors.<\/p>

In the tests carried out in \u0130psala, autonomous driving of Ford Otosan trucks from Turkey to Greece within the border gate was realized by analyzing the data obtained from roadside sensors on the Safir Cloud<\/strong><\/a> platform established in the T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Gebze campus by using 5G technologies.<\/p>

TIR routing algorithms for autonomous driving and object detection algorithms used within the scope of the project were developed by T\u00dcB\u0130TAK B\u0130LGEM in order to prevent possible accidents. One of the critical elements of the 5G-MOBIX project, B\u0130LGEM cloud technologies platform Safir Bulut has undertaken important tasks. Safir Bulut platform, which is also the management center of the 5G-MOBIX project, has enabled autonomous driving by running the developed algorithms from the T\u00dcB\u0130TAK Gebze campus, 400 km away from the vehicle.<\/p>

In this test, "Platooning", "See What I See" application, in which live high-resolution image transfer is made from the vehicle in front to the vehicle behind, and other auxiliary scenarios for faster and safer transactions within the customs area were implemented.<\/p>

The 5G-MOBIX Project is expected to generate a wide range of commercial and social benefits. Some of these benefits include various automated mobility use cases such as coordinated driving, highway lane merging, convoying, autonomous vehicle parking, urban driving, detection of road users, remote management of vehicles, environmental control, HD map updating, media and entertainment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
